This elegant jeweled egg is inspired by the historic 1887 Third Imperial Egg created by workmaster August Holmström for Tsar Alexander III as an Easter gift for Empress Maria Feodorovna. The original masterpiece was crafted in Louis XVI style from yellow gold and stood on a distinctive tripod pedestal with lion paw feet, adorned with sapphire garlands and rose cut diamond bows.

Its most celebrated feature was a hidden lady’s watch made by Swiss watchmaker Vacheron Constantin, concealed behind a jeweled clasp and designed to stand upright when opened. After the 1917 revolution, the original egg disappeared from official records and resurfaced decades later, ultimately being identified in 2012 as a long lost imperial treasure valued in the millions.

Echoing that remarkable legacy, this hinged design reveals a watch surprise inside and closes securely with a magnetic clasp. The high polish enamel, crystal accents, and ornate detailing capture the grandeur and innovation that defined the Imperial Easter egg tradition, offering history, artistry, and timeless elegance in one refined collectible display piece.
